Inspired by the scenic winding roads of the Cuyahoga Valley and our beautiful Midwest state parks, this piece captures the soul of a classic autumn drive. Even as a 'creature of summer,' I find endless joy in the transition of seasons, when the canopy transforms into a vibrant mosaic of gold, crimson, and deep forest green. Using a meticulous pointillism technique, I’ve built this image with thousands of small, intentional marks to mimic the dappled light and flickering colors you experience through a car window. I painted this to celebrate those simple, peaceful moments on the open road where nature’s brilliance feels like it’s putting on a show just for you.
